About Our Lives

Our Lives is an international theatre project using the artistic means of improvisation. It thematically explores lives and ways of living in different cultural, economical and political environments. It plays with finding similarities and acknowledging differences and explores the collision of different lives and the relations established within the project. Artists from 28 countries currently joined in the European Union will meet, exchange, work and perform together from Fall 2017 to Fall of 2018 in 18 different countries.

The four coorganising partners – Gorilla Theater (Germany), Kolektiv Narobov/Zavod Federacija (Slovenia), Combats Absurdes (France) and Česká improvizační liga (Czech Republic) – are theatres devoted to exploring and developing the method of theatrical improvisation and creating improvisational theatre productions. They will join forces in order to artistically attack the topic of lives and living in the EU, to develop the art form further, to give improvisational theatre productional support and bigger international visibility, to foster deeper relations with audiences and to build stronger networks among the artists and organizations working in the field of collective improvisation.
